Winnipeg – B. A .Robinson Co. Ltd. (BAR) is thrilled to announce for the sixth consecutive year, it has been named as one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies.
B. A .Robinson Co. Ltd. was first presented this award in 2004 following a rigorous and independent examination of its practices. After 're-qualifying' for the award in 2005 and 2006, it underwent another examination in 2007 similar to the first - and made it. We re-qualified in 2008 and we have been advised that B. A. Robinson will qualify for a sixth time in 2009.
On February 2, 2009, company President Ross Robinson was in Toronto for the gala dinner celebrating our re-qualification as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies. This honour is awarded annually after an examination of our management practices by a committee of Canada's business leaders. B. A. Robinson Co. Ltd. first won the award in 2004. Since then,
BAR underwent a thorough review of its operations to successfully
achieve “Requalified” status for 2005, 2006 and 2007. To earn
the award this year, BAR was required to compete once again for one
of the 50 spots.

A. Robinson Co. Ltd. joined four other Manitoba companies
selected as Manitoba finalists in Canada’s 50 Best
Managed Companies program. Established in 1993, Canada's
50 Best Managed Companies is the country’s leading
business awards program, recognizing excellence in Canadian-owned
and managed companies with revenues over $10 million. The other Manitoba finalists are EISI, Hytek Ltd., Paterson
GlobalFoods Inc. and TransX.
These companies are now in the
running to become one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed
Companies.
